No. Exercising is completely optional, and studies have shown that it can actually be counterproductive to weight loss. Research done at the University of Michigan revealed that typical forms of exercise don’t burn enough calories to make a difference for weight-loss purposes. In fact, since it actually makes you hungrier, it can make eating the right amount of food each day difficult. Most of my clients in this book did not exercise at all to lose weight. However, once they lost their belly fat, many of them felt so good that they added exercise in and became addicted.
